I now have had an account closed, even though the bank paid a check to overdraft my account for 600.00. I told bank that I would pay this as soon as funds arrived which I did paid in full still said they have reported to chex. I have already started the ball rolling with letter number one with a few tweaks, ie; no evidence of debt owed, etc these letters work. Don't fall victim, I am so disturbed that a reporting agency can literally ruin peoples lives for 5 years without any governance to facts. Even if bank puts paid in full on report 90 percent of the time the bank only sees that chex exist and denies an account. Anyone else want to Join me in a effort to sue chex to at least change the way reporting is done?? I am going to take this to every consumer advocate group, television, etc. PS if you are in chex and still have an existing checking account most likely you will be fine unless you order checks from Deluxe or any of its affiliates this almost always is the case when ordering checks from your bank.
